I created this piece from the perspective of Mary Magdalene as she realized the "gardener" whom she had been speaking with was her Resurrected Lord.
I like to keep this scene in mind while meeting Jesus in prayer myself. Meeting him in the "garden of my heart:" A safe place for He and I to talk. Saint Elizabeth of the Trinity is known to refer to her heart as a "garden" and a "cloister," where she met her Lord regularly throughout the day...while both praying in the chapel and performing her daily work. I pray this piece may help others meditate on Jesus' continual presence, and may feel inspired to meet him within their own "gardens".
